UJC asks Mirwaiz to introspect stand on election boycott

Track News Service: United Jihad Council, a conglomerate of various militant outfits including Kashmirs indigenous Hizbul Mujahideen, Wednesday urged Mirwaiz led Hurriyat Conference to introspect its decision with regard to the ground situation.
We urge Mirwaiz Umar Farooq led group of Hurriyat Conference to introspect its decision vis-a-vis the prevailing ground situation for election drama is tantamount to treachery with Kashmir cause and precious lives laid during the last 62 years, UJC spokesman quoting its chairman Syed Salahudin Ahmad as saying told Press Bureau of India in a statement.

He said that a meeting of UJC was held with Salahudin in chair and discussed the prevailing situation the state.

The spokesman said that elections in the state were a farce and said that it was being held to justify the occupation.

By virtue of holding elections in the state, India wants to hoodwink the international community that people by casting vote endorse the occupation of India, he said.

He also called upon people to stage protest during the so-called elections to impress upon the world that people of Kashmir does not support any election process under the Indian constitution, the statement added.(PBI)
